Lena Lewis

Lena: I have been retired from Anders Book Store since 1982 with no other things in process. I am the oldest and only Charter member left.  I am 88 and not much help to the club but I love every one of you and will attend all meetings I can.  I have 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, expecting one more any day now in Louisiana. 

Sylvia Roberts: Lena loves the Zonta Club. She is a past president and has served on the board in many positions. She and CB are always the first to cook or bake anything needed.  She makes everyone feel special and welcomed.  She has been having TGIF since I became a member over 20 years ago.
She lived on Dauphin Island before moving back to Mobile and she had the club over to her house every summer.  Lena is a joy to be around and I am so glad that through Zonta she has become a good friend.

Shirley Bridges: “Lena is one of the kindest, sweetest members of Zonta........she never fails to welcome me at every meeting. She is truly an inspiration!”

Charlene Rains: I find myself looking for Ms Lena when I arrive at a Zonta meeting. She is a burst of sunshine! Lena greets everyone personally and makes you feel so welcomed. We all need to adopt her charm, her kindness, her enthusiasm for others. Lena… you say that you are not much help to the club… I disagree. You demonstrate to all of us what being a Zontian is all about. Thank you for your dedication to the club and your love for it members!
